TakeoffCalc is a free construction takeoff calculator site. I built it because most online takeoff tools are either paywalled, ad-heavy to the point of being unusable, or buried behind email signups and free trials. The math behind a gravel estimate or a concrete footing volume is genuinely simple. There’s no good reason a contractor or DIYer should have to pay a subscription or watch a tutorial video to do it.

I’m an independent developer who builds small useful tools. TakeoffCalc started in 2026 with a handful of calculators across roofing and concrete, and currently covers 41 calculators across 13 trades and growing. New calculators are added regularly. The goal is to make TakeoffCalc the most trustworthy free takeoff resource on the open web. Accurate math, clean presentation, no upsells.

Every calculator on the site is free and will stay free. The site is built to eventually support itself through unobtrusive ads. Until then, it’s a side project I work on because I find it satisfying to build tools that just work.
