By using TakeoffCalc, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. These terms apply to all visitors and users.

About the service

TakeoffCalc is a free construction takeoff calculator site. The site provides estimation tools for various construction trades.

The site is operated by an independent developer. No account or login is required to use the calculators.

Calculator disclaimer

This section is important. Please read it carefully.

TakeoffCalc provides construction takeoff estimates for informational and planning purposes only. Calculator results are based on standard industry density values, typical waste allowances, and conventional formulas drawn from published industry standards, government specifications (USACE, NRCS, FHWA, state DOTs), and supplier rules of thumb.

Actual material requirements for your specific project may vary significantly based on:

• Site conditions (slope, soil type, drainage, compaction)
• Supplier-specific product specifications and gradations
• Regional variation in material density and pricing
• Installation methods (loose-laid vs compacted, hand-placed vs machine-placed)
• Project-specific tolerances and quality requirements

Always verify minimum delivery quantities, bulk pricing, and material specifications with your supplier before ordering. For permanent structural work, engineering specifications, building code compliance, or any project with significant cost or safety implications, consult a licensed professional.

TakeoffCalc and its operator are not responsible for project cost overruns, material shortages, material excesses, structural failures, code violations, or any other negative outcomes resulting from decisions made based on calculator output. Use of the calculators is at your own risk.

Intellectual property

The calculators, prose, design, code, and other content on TakeoffCalc are the intellectual property of the site operator. You may use the calculators for personal and commercial estimation purposes. You may not:

• Republish the calculator interfaces, math walkthroughs, or reference tables on other sites without permission
• Scrape the site for content to use elsewhere
• Use the site’s content to train machine learning models without permission

Linking to specific calculator pages is welcomed and encouraged.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to disrupt the site’s operation through automated traffic, denial-of-service attacks, or other interference
• Submit malicious input to the calculators in an attempt to find security vulnerabilities (responsible disclosure is welcomed via contact@takeoffcalc.com)
• Use the site for illegal purposes
• Misrepresent calculator output as professional engineering judgment

Third-party services

TakeoffCalc relies on third-party infrastructure providers (Vercel for hosting, Cloudflare for DNS, Namecheap for email). Outages or issues affecting these providers may affect site availability. The site operator is not responsible for downtime caused by third-party providers.

No warranty

TakeoffCalc is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Substantial effort goes into the math on each calculator, but no guarantee is made that the site or its calculators will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. The “Calculator disclaimer” section above applies in full.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of TakeoffCalc, including but not limited to: lost profits, material costs, project delays, or any decisions made based on calculator output.

Privacy

Your use of TakeoffCalc is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which describes what data the site collects and how it is used.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the site evolves. When a substantive change is made, the effective date at the top will be updated. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, where the site operator is based, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the site will be resolved in Pakistani courts.
